Jones Beach airshow will be moved

You’re likely hearing the buzz about the **2026 schedule**, which is definitely a major break from tradition. While the show isn't being "replaced" in terms of being canceled, it is being **temporarily moved** and rebranded in a way that’s confusing some long-time fans.

Here is the breakdown of what’s changing:

### 1. The Big Date Shift (2026 Only)

For the first time in its history, the airshow will **not** happen on Memorial Day weekend in 2026. Instead, it has been moved to **July 4th weekend** (specifically Sunday, July 5 and Monday, July 6).

 * **The Reason:** To celebrate the **United States’ 250th Anniversary** (the Semiquincentennial).

 * **Fleet Week:** Fleet Week New York is also moving to July 4th weekend in 2026 to align with the celebration.

 * **Return to Normal:** The show is officially scheduled to return to its usual Memorial Day slot in **2027**.

### 2. The Name Change

If you’ve been looking for the "Bethpage Air Show" and couldn't find it, that’s because it has been rebranded. As of 2025, it is now officially the **FourLeaf Air Show**, following the rebranding of its long-time sponsor, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, to FourLeaf Federal Credit Union.

### 3. What’s Happening on Memorial Day 2026?

Even though the planes won't be buzzing the beach in May 2026, Jones Beach State Park still plans to host smaller events during Memorial Day weekend to honor fallen service members and keep the holiday tradition alive.

### Summary of the 2026 Show
